This thread looks bare and lonely...
I'll post something in about two weeks when I actually have time to play BGII again!
*shakes fist at end of semester medical exams*
P.S. - who has played the mod and not commented? Naughty, naughty...

Hi.
I'll start off by saying I'm extremely ignorant of how much work has been completed on this mod so if I mention anything that hasn't been addressed yet I apologize in advance.
I was trying a number of new mods for the first time yesterday, Alora included and she just seemed very quiet. I played for nearly two hours and I don't think I got a single interjection. I don't know if this is right or if something got missed in the installation. I wouldn't have noticed so much if I hadn't been playing her alongisde the Kivan (g3 mod) and by contrast he was extremely chatty. It was almost as if their personalities had been reversed.
On a more positive note thank you for adding a proper good-aligned thief to the game. In the past I often found myself playing a thief out of necessity and to avoid having to take Imoen. This has meant that I was able to try out the Nathaniel mod. I think your choice of Swashbuckler suits Alora perfectly as she like Imoen she never struck me as a "thief" in the traditional sense. I look forward to playing this mod further in the future. |

| What version are you using? The older version had some problems where I mixed GLOBALS and LOCALS to start the dialogues, hence no banters or interjections. |

According to the readme it was version 1.01.?
Maybe I just didn't play long/do enough or have the right NPC's in my party (Last time it was PC, Minsc, Jaheria, Kivan, Nathaniel and Alora).
I'll try her again if I have some free time this weekend and see if things are any different.
It would help if someone could me some idea at what point to look out for interjections and which characters she is most likley to banter with. |

She has some funny banters with Edwin (and other NPCs from BG1)
And interjections- this you'll have to play (or look for in dialogues file ) _________________ Evil hidden everywhere

Since two characters are mod characters, that could be part of your 'silence' problem. Mod characters only banter with the CrossMod banter patch , and then it depends whether the writers have written something for that. Mod writers tend to concentrate on BioWare NPCs first, so the only two real banter-able characters there are Minsc and Jaheira (as well as the PC, of course!) |

I did realize that Alora would not interact with Kivan and Nathaniel. I think I was perhaps expecting that she make some immediate comment upon seeing Minsc and Jaheira again, in a similar manner to Kivan did. (I should have realized that different mod writers would concentrate on different aspects of a character )
I think my problem was that I had not participated in the apporopriate quests, or used Alora to do much of the talking. When I did i begin to see some brilliantly observed scenarios, such as her encounter with Ribald.
Similarly by undertaking Renal Bloodscalps quest, Alora began expressing herself both in discussions with Guild Members and her excitement that my Pc had taken the quest.
I look forward to seeing her banters with bioware's NPCs. (Yet I fear that the ever growing number of quality NPC mods will stop me from ever deciding on a party or which class to play.) |

Well, I started a new game and decided to take her.
Got to say I love what you have done with her. She is passable as an original BG2 NPC (in other words, she does not look third party, she fits in perfectly).
My lady who also plays said she is her favorite theif (modded and un-modded) that she has used thus far. _________________ Neopet and Live Journal Addict.

People who say they enjoy this mod or any other of my mods brightens my day. You could say it's a moral booster for demoralization. |

I really enjoyed the mod so far, but I have a suggestion. Maybe a banter with Bertrand "The Companion" should be included. That pesky gnome has some nice banters with small folk, Mazzy especially. So it would seem obvious to have one with Alora as well. _________________
